Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I just received the results of my MRI and my doctor is out of town what is says is L4-L5 A disc bulge with left foraminal propensity and bilateral facet joint hypertrophy is seen, compressing the trecal sac and causing meuroforaminal narrowing on another hand my doctor gave me an order to do palvix traction and nurse told to do so anyways as doctor order even he did not see the results yet what is your recommendation
I'am not aware of your symptoms. The report says that there are features of osteoarthritis (degenerative bone and joint changes) over lower spine. This caused bulging of disc between two vertebral bones, resulting in narrowing of holes where nerves exits from spinal cord. This may cause low back ache, pain, numbness or weakness of legs. Pelvis traction can offer temporary pain relief. Depending on severity of symptoms and response to initial treatment, sometimes this may need surgery. Your doctor will discuss in detail.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
