What Does This MRI Mean?

mri minimal left s1 nerve root indentation at l5 s1 along with mild left neural foraminal indentation bilateral predominantly left forminal and exiting nerve root indenation at l4 l5 lesser degree of forminal indentation seen at l2 l3 and l3 l4 could you explain please

Hello

MRI findings indicate degenerative changes in lumbo-sacral spine.
Degenerative changes are age related findings.It is due to chronic stress on annulus fibrosis.

At L5-S1 level,there is minimal left S1 nerve root indentation.
At L4-5 level,there is mild left lateral neural foramen compromise causing indentation over exiting nerve roots.
There is also mild degree of neural foramen narrowing at L2-3 and L3-4 level.

Majority of degenerative disc disease patients are benefited by conservative treatment in the form of physiotherapy,analgesics and muscle relaxants.
Surgery should be the last option.

Since you have mild findings,so you may only need conservative treatment.

Treatment can be planned after consultation with neurologist.
