What Does This MRI And CT Scan Indicate?

40yr old female,m.r.I prominent nasopharyngeal soft tissue/adnoids, c.t shows complete opicicification of frontal,maxillary,and sphenoid sinuses,severely deviated septum,bone spur. E.n.t will not look at m.r.I,also prior infection with ebv. Should I b concerned? E.n.t says all radiologist are wrong,he is the only 1 who knows whats right, and says nothings wrong,health is severally deteriorating, full body swelling,won t go away,no1 knows what s wrong..

Thanks for writing in.

Going by the MRI and CT scan reports, there is an overgrowth of the soft tissues in the roof on the back of nasopharynx. This is called adenoids and is a concern only if you are having difficulties in breathing during sleep with symptoms like obstructive apnea.

The complete opacification of frontal, maxillary and spheniod sinuses is due to block in the drainage of secretions from these air sinuses. This is further increased by the deviated nasal septum and can cause you to feel sick due to infection in the retained secretions.

If your doctor says everything is normal and you still feel sick then you might take an opinion form another ENT doctor and get your CT and MRI scan reports reviewed.
