trying to find out what my MRA findings mean....

infarct. Additional areas of T2 signal are seen at the lateral aspect
of the left cerebral hemisphere likely post operative.

consistent with stated history of thrombosis.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello.
Thank you for contacting HCM.

I have gone through your MRA scan report and i will try my best to explain it to you.
Sinuses are basically venous channels surrounding the brain which when gets blocked can lead to brain infarct due to collection or stasis of blood in that area of brain.
your report is suggestive of infarcts in the brain and thrombosis of the transverse and sigmoid sinuses. From your report I can gather that you have previous history of surgery and thrombotic episode....but as you have not mentioned their detail I would suggest you consult your local physician to co-relate this report with the clinical evaluation and prescribe further management accordingly.

I hope this answers your query. Please feel free to contact HCM again if you have any concerns.
Wishing you good health.
