What Does This CA Test Result Post Ovarian Cancer Surgery Indicate?

I had ovarian cancer surgery one year ago, 6 months after surgery my CA 125 was 4, now 6 months later I just had the CA 125 test this week and it is at 6. Should I be concerned or is that a normal reading. I am seeing my OBGYN in a couple of weeks. Thank you for your information.

Hello,

The CA-125 (a tumor marker for ovarian cancer) is very well within the normal range and nothing to worry about it.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
