What Does This BP Level Indicate For Anxiety?

Hi. I frequently suffer from anxiety and depression. However, it s unusual for my resting heart rate to be more than 90 to 110 bpm. I have had a significant increase in anxiety in the past two weeks, but I just checked my hr a moment ago and it was 139 bpm. Is this dangerous?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Dear welcome to HCM and thanks for choosing us.

I share your concerns about your blood pressure. But let me assure you that this blood pressure level is within normal ranges. It is on the upper end of normal. Below 140 is considered normal.

You need to take care of your anxiety and depression, your blood pressure will come to 120/80 (the standard blood pressure). Your heart rate is also in normal range only.

You need to do regular morning exercises, control your weight if it is high, engage yourself in recreational activities to control your anxiety and which in turn will take care of your blood pressure.

I hope my reply will benefit you. Please write to us or me for follow up questions. I wish you good health. Kindly rate this reply. Thanks
