What Does These Semen Analysis Report Indicate?

Hello HealthCareMagic:
Pls interpret my semen analysis report for me. Colour : Greyish white, Liquefaction time : Unliquified, Volume 2 ml, pH : Alkaline, Viscosity : Normal, Total Count: 255 million/ml, Total motile count: 41% Progressive count: 27% Sluggish count: 14% Non-motile: 59% Morphology 40%. Please advice me is the sperm count is okay, My wife can get pregnant naturally.

Hello

Your findings suggests low motility of sperms.
Normally sperm motility should be at least 55 % and your findings suggests 41%,so it is low.

Sperm count is normal in your case.Normally it should be at least 20 millions/ml.
Besides proper clinical examination,you may need investigations like routine hemogram,random blood sugar,ultrasound of scrotum.

It is important to exclude any surgical reasons for low sperm motility.Ultrasound and clinical examination is helpful.
Hormone assay can be done if needed.

Take nutritious diet and antioxidants.
If low motility persists then you may need assisted fertilization techniques.

Other findings like semen volume,pH,morphology etc are normal.
