What Does The Ultrasound With Sub Arachnoid Space Noted Indicate?

My baby , she is a girl about 4 months old , we made an ultrasound scan and the report came as follows : 1. Normal brain parenchyma 2.Prominent lateral and 3rd ventricles system is noticed. 3.prominent sub arachnoid space is noted. 4.no signs of ICH/IVH is seen. 5.No Mid line shift is seen. Conclusions: ============ Prominent lateral and third ventricles and sub arachnoids space as well for clinically correlation and for follow up. Can You please tell me what is this ?

1.This indicates there is prominence noted in the lateral ventricles and third ventricle - its seen in case of dilatation.
2.This dilatation occur due to distal obstruction - possible cause.
3.And prominent sub arachnoid space also seen in the systemic brain related or systemic diseases.
4.I think at this point you need to gat an MRI for better evaluation of the problem and see the cause of the prominence.
5.And a complete body checkup with blood picture to get an conclusion and get appropriate treatment. Good luck.
