General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI,
I understand your query.
Your wife's ultrasound shows Ovaries/ovaries to be of normal shape & size. that means their function is also mostly normal.
Right ovary has a cyst having the size mentioned in ovary-- It is mostly an immature ovum-which is getting bigger in size. This happens normally in menstrual cycle. The immature ovum grows under influence of female hormones This size of ovum is expected in 1st week post menstrual.
The growth of the cyst(ovum)can be followed to mark ovulation-which indicates complete normality of ovarian/uterine function.
Thanks.
