What Does The Ultrasonography Regarding The Cyst Indicate?

Hi
I am Mitu. After 3years of our married we thought about having a baby. But after 3months trying we saw nothing happen. Then we go to a doctor & she gave both of us some test. After seeing ultrasonography report she told me that “ there is a cyst about 10.9x6.3 cm in your ovary “and she gave me some medicines.

(15-01-14)After also 3 months trying result comes zero. now we changed our doctor she also gave test. After saw my repot she told me that “there is a cyst in your left ovary and it’s about 10x6 cm .right side also a cyst about 5x2.5 cm” she suggested to operation it. we did the same thing as she said(28-01-14)

(01-06-14)we did ultrasonogray again and the repot said “suggestive of small right ovarian cyst eith small free fllude in pouch of Douglas”

Radiologist 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for choosing healthcaremagic.
The earlier ultrasounds show big cysts in both your ovaries and after surgery they must have done a histopathological evaluation and given a diagnosis. For the larger cysts, surgery was needed. Based on the diagnosis, your gynaecologist should treat you and help you in conceiving.
In the latest ultrasound, you have not mentioned the size of the cyst and the characteristics of the cyst. If size is less than 2 cms, there is nothing to worry and it might be a normal ovarian follicle. Small amount of free fluid in pouch of douglas is common and a normal finding. Only if the fluid in large in quantity it is significant.
You can ask further queries with more details about the cyst and I will be happy to help.
Hope it sorts your problem.
