What Does The Positive Test For TB Indicate?
good evening. I just got a question please. im a nurse in the uk.going too work in Saudi soon. my bloodtest for tb in my medical shows a positive result. just had an x ray this afternoon . doesnt know results yet. what does that mean. dont have any symtomps. been healthy for a long time. had only 2 chestinfection before christmas and after christmas. cough up blood in sputum and gp told me its common because of coughing. been on AB and it cleared up. very worried im 38 years old and south african born.been in uk for 9 years. worked in a cosmetic hospital with healthy patients no high risk areas.

You have positive blood test for tuberculosis. And you had symptoms of coughing blood. So most probably yoh have tb in your lungs. Wait for your xray report. If it comes positive then consult your physician and take anti tuberculosis treatment. If it is negative then go for further investigation like sputum examination or confirmatory test for tuberculosis and take treatment accordingly.
