What Does The Movable Lump On The Base Of Skull In A Child Suffering From Cough And Chicken Pox Indicate?

My 23 month old daughter is just recovering from chicken pox and has a cough. I just found a hard non moveable lump just to the left of the base of her skull. It doesn t feel like a gland and feels close to the bone so not a spot or pimple. You can also see slight swelling (not red) where it is and it s just a bit bigger than a pea. What could it be? I am taking her to the doctors after the weekend.

moveable lump is probably an enlarged lymph node.it will resolve by its own once the chicken pox is completly cured.
