What Does The Growth Of Foetus Indicate?

single gestation. Initially the doc said that uterus is bulky and there were multiple blood spotting in uterus. Then somehow after taking progesterone continuously( still taking daily twice vaginally) the uterus became normal. Now they say the fetus is having feeble heart rate of 91 BPM. My lmp is 25/03/2011. The doc says the fetus has a growth of 12 weeks as against a growth of 15weeks. Suggest me what to do.

OBGYN, Maternal and Fetal Medicine 's  Response
Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Bradycardia( heart beat less than 100 bpm) in fetus can be present in
1. Congenital heart disease
2. Chromosomal anomalies like Down syndrome
3. Impending fetal death.
Moreover, decreased growth of the fetus is also suggestive of some problem in the fetus.
I would suggest you to consult a fetal medicine specialist so that you can get a detailed anomaly ultrasound and amniocentesis if needed.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Wishing you good health.
