What Does The Following Papa Smear Test Results Indicate?

Pap smear results states MILD CERVICAL DYSPLASIA CIN I and 6 days later go in for leep procedure results states Your biopsy suggests that while you do not now have cervical cancer you are at a very high risk of devoloping cervical cancer in the future. HIGH GRADE SQUAMOUS INTRAEPITHELIAL LESION (SEVERE DYSPLASIA, CIN III)

Hi, I think you should go for a 6 monthly paps smear to follow up the progression of CIN 3. It is not a cancer but precursor to cancer and in 10 to 12 percent cases it can become invasive cancer. So, you have to follow it by paps smear. Discuss with your doctor regarding this. Hope it helps.
