What does these numbers indicate? Overall from appearance he does not look pale etc. He poops once a day daily. Although his weight gain is under 3 percentile. In one feeding he only takes 4 oz and drinks may be 5 times a day. Is it indicative for some disease ?
SGOT and SGPT are two enzymes present in the liver. Their growth indicates some degree of damage to the liver. An increase in the level of these enzymes is very common in patients treated with amiodarone. They are not excessively elevated in your case, so don't mean necessarily that there is serious damage and might even resolve in time, you shouldn't panic. However there is a risk of dangerous impairment in time so it warrants either a reduction in dose or a switch to another antiarrhythmic, or another alternative would be to wait and repeat test after some time to see if there is further augmentation. So you should discuss these options with your pediatrician. I hope to have been of help.
