General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Venereal Disease Research Laboratory (VDRL) test is a blood test which is used for screening of syphilis. Treponema pallidum particle agglutination assay (TPHA test) is an indirect agglutination assay used for detection and titration of antibodies against the causative agent of syphilis.

Since both these tests are negative, it rules out that you could be having syphilis. The cause for your pimples need to be investigated and then treated accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query.
