What Does The Following TMT Report Suggest?
Sir, My mother(55yrs) during her regular health checkup was found to have tmt mildly positive for inducible ischemia. Her report says that she exercised for 8 min achieving work level of max METS:10 , resting HR: 70bpm rose to max HR:164bpm. The value represents 99% of the maximal age predicted HR. Resting BP:120/78mmHg rose to maxBP:150/90mmHg and exercise was stopped due to fatigue. She never had a h/o chest pin before andno otger symptoms as such. Her total cholesterol -216, HDL 71, LDL-132. She was prescribed with ATORVASTATIN 10mg and ECOSPIRIN 75mgand was adviced for repeat tmt after 6months. Does she need any further checkups or treatment? Is this line of management enough?

If the TMT was stopped just because of fatigue and there were no chest pain or ECG changes then it is a normal test. They started her on aspirin and a cholesterol lowering (her cholesterol is slightly raised) just in case to be safe. The repeat TMT in 6 months is appropriate. I think what your medical team did was all good. Suggest following their management.
