Welcome to health care magic.

1.There is a disc between the vertebral bodies which helps as a shock absorber effect, contains good amount of water content.
2.This water content is lost called disc desiccation noted in different levels, at the same time the disc seen herniated.
3.This herniated disc is seen causing pressure effect on the nerve and the chord - which is giving pain and numbness to you.
4.There is subcutaneous oedema in the sacral region could be due to the recent trauma / fall as mentioned in the history.
5.Treatment in this case will be initially exercises followed by physiotherapy - when there is no help final treatment will be operative / interventional treatment. For the oedema needs local treatment anti inflammatory cream with a course of antibiotics if infective features are seen.

Good luck.
