What Does The Following HSG Report Suggest?

Hi, I am 35 years old and already miscarriage 11/2 year ago during 2months pregnant. Now my Hysterosalpingogram (HSG) result as shown below. My other health condition and husband health condition is normal. So I want to know can I conceive and pregnant naturally? HSG Result: Right fallopian tube is normally outlined with absent peritoneal spillage on the right side. Spillage is seen in the left adnexa and midline- likely to be spillage from the left side. The left fallopian tube and uterus is obscured.

Infectious Diseases Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

1. Your report is suggestive of unilateral tubal blockage which means the fallopian tubes which serve as a reservoir of ova for the sperm to travel and meet it to for a zygote is blocked by any means. Be it because of infection or inflammation.

2. As I can see your other tube is patent you can always try to conceive by the way of IUI which means intrauterine insemination.

In this technique, the doctor will take the fresh passed seminal fluid of your husband, test the motile sperms and thereby injecting into your cervix through the vagina.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
