What Does The Following EKG Result Indicate?

According to EKG results I no longer have A-Fib and need to stop taking Diltiazem 360 MG caps to relieve the nausea and fatigue I experience from it. My Cardiologist prefers I take it forever in difference to the manufacturers and my pharmacists advice. The same is happening with Flecainide Acetate 100 MG. I am essentially disabled from fatigue and nausea as stated on he drug as side effects. How would I safely stop taking these drugs?

Hello,

I'm pretty sure the drug instructions in the packet of the medicine does NOT say to stop it when the AFIB is gone. Diltiazem is pretty mild. Flecanide. How can I say this?

"The increased mortality was seen in patients treated with flecainide in the Cardiac Arrhythmia Suppression Trial (CAST) study, published in 1991, still deters many clinicians from using flecainide, " yeah, that about says it.

It lowered heart function and that increases the likelihood of death. It also may cause feeling like your heart function is lowered.

So, 1) people need to be watched when they change heart drugs closely 2) you wouldn't generally make more than one change at a time.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
