What Does The Ct Scan Report Of Abdomen Indicate?

Hello doctor, my uncle s ct scan of abdomen shows that he has severe necrotizing colitis affecting cecum and proximal ascending colon. There is also localized cecal perforation and large inflammatory omental mass formation. There is also small paracecal abscess collection containing air pocket. And his urinary bladder has collapsed.pls tell as to what should be done in regards to his treatment.

I am sorry to know about the health problems you uncle is facing, I would suggest you the way to go forward in this problem.

In my opinion according to his CT report he should immediately seek medical attention and a thorough check up by a General surgeon most preferably.

He can go into shock sepsis or multi organ failure , he may also get peritonitis and his gut necrosis may extend further.
A surgeon will most probably admit him in critical care and he will be given antibiotics other medication and he might also need to undergo surgery/surgeries in order to clear up the debris in his body.

I would suggest you not to wait and immediately contact your doctor before your uncle develops some life threatening complications. This seems like an emergency situation in my opinion and medical treatment should not bed delayed.
