What Does The Chest X-ray Show?

MY CHEST XRAY SHOWS ACCENTUATED BRONCOVASCULAR MARKINGS IN BOTH LUNG FIELDS/ BOTH CP ANGLES ARE CLEAR/ AVERAGE CARIO THORASIC RATIO LYMPH NODES ARE CLEAR. I WAS ASMOKER BUT SINCE LAT MONTH AND MORE I HAVE COMPLETELY GIVEN UP SMOKING SO IS IT A MATTER OF WORRY WHAT REMEDY I NEED TO TAKE??

Thanks for your question on HCM. Increased bronchovascular markings are normal thing in chest x ray. It is commonly seen in lower part of lungs. The reason for this is gravity dependent blood flow.
As a rule, blood follows gravity. So accumulation of blood in vessels of lower part of lung is more. And blood appears white on chest x ray. So vessels of lower part of lung appear more white than other part.
So vessels along with bronchi, in lower part of lung appear as prominent. So report is written like, prominent bronchovascular markings.
So if you are asymptomatic than this report is normal, and no need to worry. And its good that you have quit smoking.
