What Does The Brain Scan Report Of An 81-year-old Male Indicate?

My 81 year old dad has been told he is in the early stages of dementia and his recent CT head/brain scan report said: some atrophy present with prominence of the extra-axial csf spaces. What does this mean? Conclusion was no focal or acute findings, some atrophy noted and overall appearance of the brain is similar to 2013.
