What Does The Blood Test Results Indicate?

Hi there,I had a blood report done 4 days ago and results showed all the parameter normal except Platelets that is 95 and normal range is 150-400, further on report it is mentioned Normocytic Normchromic platelets low on film large platelets seen. I am worried pls help

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Th interpretation of blood report is as follows:
The red blood cell picture and white blood cell picture is within normal limits.
However, there is decrease in number of platelets and the platelets are large sized as seen on the peripheral smear.
Low platelets can be due to decreased production of platelets or increased destruction of platelets.
An assessment of bone marrow may be required to know the cause of low platelets.
Consult your doctor for further work up.
