What Does The Blood Report For Viral Fever Indicate?
Hi Doctor, I was suffering from Viral fever from last two days. However after taking medicines it is ok now but i am feeling very weak. I have gone for the blood test during this viral infection just to make sure that there is no maleria. My blood report having below readings:PCV:35 MCV:71.95 MCH:25.81 Neutrophils:91 lymphocytes:7 Why the lymphocytes is showing such a low reading ? Please advice also is there any serious issue ?
Hi, Looking at your test results, I am of the opinion that your weakness is due to anemia and was increased by your recent infection. Looking at your MCV and MCH, it appears you are having microcytic hypochromic anemia probably due to iron deficiency. Your PCV is also a bit low suggesting anemia. It is probably in early stages. Neutrophils are increased probably due to infection. Based on neutrophil count, I would think that you suffered a bacterial infection and treatment was taken for the same. There is no serious issue. You need to take iron supplements to improve your hematological values. Any further queries, happy to help again.
