What Does The X Ray Result Indicate?

multiple small scattered nodules in min zones of both middle lobes small scattered nodules seen in both lung fields homogenous faint radio-opaque shadowing seen in para-cardiac regions of both lungs These are the xray results for my little girl who is 8 year old

Thanks for writing in.

Your daughter might be having a respiratory infection. The small nodules mean there can be some inflammatory changes in the air spaces in lungs. Faint homogeneous radio opaque shadowing is also due to a mild infection. She can be treated with antibiotics for some days and should respond to treatment. You have not mentioned any fever or weakness, which if present indicates an ongoing infection. Please protect her from environmental extremes of climate and pollution.
