Liver - Enlarged (18.9cm) with increase in echo texture.> ENLARGED

Focal Parenchymal classifications noted in the segment IV. NO IHBD. }It should be focal CALCIFICATION in segment IV....(liver is divided into about 10 segments and there is some calcificatiion in segment 4 which is not an alarming finding.

G.Bladder. Contracted>NORMAL.... CBD is Normal

Pancreas: Normal in size and echo texture>NORMAL .

Spleen: Normal in Size and echo texture. >NORMAL

RT Kidney and LT Kidney: Normal in size
Bilateral suprarenal areas are free>NORMAL finding

U. Bladder: Well distended. No evidence of wall thickening/ Internal Echoes. >Normal

Prostrate: Normal in size & echo texture.>NORMAL

No evidence of paracaval/ para aortic adenopathy.>NORMAL

No evidence of free fluid in the peritoneal cavity >NORMAL

CONCLUSION: only abnormal thing in this scan is LIVER ...

1- It's size(more important to consider)
2- That calcification(not very significant finding)

There can be hundreds to causes of a large Liver like fatty liver, alcoholic liver, hepatitis, fulminance, portal thrombus, portal hypertension etc but to zero down the exact cause one needs more investigations, Discuss it with your doctor and if your father use alcohol that's exactly the time he leaves it.
