What Does The Trans Vaginal Ultrasound Result Show:"Normal Size Retroverted Uterus, Thin Intact Endometrium" Indicate?

Hello. I had my Trans vaginal ultrasound and the result was;
Normal Size retroverted uterus
Thin Intact Endometrium
Slightly Enlarged Right Ovary that measures 3.8 x 2.2 x 4.1
Both Adnexae - unremarkable
Minimal fluid in the posterior cul de sac
Please help me understand. Do I have to worry on something?

Hi,
Thanks for writing in.

Retroverted uterus means the long axis of uterus is backwards. Usually in 95% women this is anteverted or forwards. It does not usually cause any clinical problems but a doctor doing gynecological examination must be made aware of this so that the do not make a false diagnosis of some tumor behind the uterus.

Your right ovary is slightly big but acceptable. The minimal fluid in cul de sac may be normal unless you have a pelvic inflammatory disease.
