What Does Tenderness, Redness And Pain In Labia With Smelly Discharge Mean?
My major and minor labia hurt and are red and are very very tender. It just started this month with my period... My discharge was very black and had a bad smell.... When the urine hits my labia it burns and I haven't had sex for atleast a month. I'm 21 and have been under a lot of stress with finals. It's starting to really scare me... I'm not sure what else you would need to know so you can help me
Hi, Welcome to HCM. You had not mentioned your age and marital status. Whether your partner has any problem? Do you have Diabetes Mallitus? These factors also have relevancy in fixing your problem. Yeast infection of vulva and vagina is possible cause for the redness, tenderness and the burning following urination. As you are also having offensive and dark discharge, you may also likely to have either Bacterial vaginosis, Trichomoniasis, or some other secondary bacterial infection with anerobes. A vaginal examination, investigation of the discharge material, a PAP smear will help to fix the problem and the treatment has to be planned accordingly. Get well soon. Dr S.Murugan
