What Does Symmetrical Fibroglandular Changes In Mammogram Suggest?

I have always been told my mammograms are normal so my insurance does not pay for them. in looking at a result review report it says that there are mild symmetrical fibroglandular changes seen and they suggest annual routine mammography. So what does that mean? Is there something abnormal that I have a reason to get a mammogram?

Hello,
thanks for choosing health Care magic for consultation.
Symmetrical fibroglandular tissue and if dense is increased risk of getting breast cancer.
That is the reason your have been advised to do mammogram yearly.

Breast is made up of fat and fibroglandular tissue.
So this is common reporting of mammogram about it's density.
It is definitely important to give attention and do mammogram annually.
As of now no need to worry.
hope this helps.
