Hello,

If circulation to any limb is being hampered, then the leg becomes swollen and bluish. In order to reduce this kind of situation, you need to mobilize your foot a little bit and massage that part in order to accelerate circulation. Since you are diabetic, you should care for your foot more than others. Don't let it be like that or it might turn gangrenous, and it will be deleterious to health. Use warm water towel massage for the foot. I think it will subside gradually and you will be able to walk gradually. You can use compression stockings to improve circulation to the foot also.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Archana
