What Does Swelling In The Groin Area Indicate?

I am 59 years old and found out two weeks ago when I went to the doctors and I went because I have 2 blood clots in my right leg . the dr. was more concerned about the swollen groin in my right leg. it really shocked me and I don t know what to think now, now could it be cancer ?

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

1. For the groin swelling; see whether the swelling reduce on lying down and appears on straining or lifting weights. if so then it is hernia.

2. For the blood clot in the right leg, Kindly get a venous Doppler of the both lower limbs to look for deep vein thrombosis or varicose vein

3. If you have. any cuts or injury to foot the swelling may represent a lymph node draining the infected area infected.
