What Does Swelling In The Groin Area Indicate?

I have a red raised ring like swelling inside mi Rt. groin area about the size of 2 silver dollars side by side. I have been in football workouts for about a week and it has grown from the beginning. I have applied some hydrocortisone and took a benedryl today as well. I thought I would reach out and see if you have an idea before I go get it checked. Thanks

What you are describing is a typical case of hernia. The swelling must appear more prominently when you cough? It can be manually pushed back only to see it return after a while? There is actually no pain as such but there is some vague discomfort?


See a surgeon immediately and you can confirm your diganosis.
