What Does Subcentimeter Cervical Lymph Adenopathy Inflammatory Etiology Means In Ultrasound?

sir, i saw a tiny swelling on my neck,thereby my doctor suggest that to take ultrasound scan.Result is sub cm. bilateral level1 A lymph nodes are noted measuring .5cm in the left side and .4cm in the right side , sub cm .bilateral level 2&3 cervical lymph nodes noted.its impression-SUBCENTIMETER CERVICAL LYMPH ADENOPATHY-? INFLAMATORY ETIOLOGY.So please clear out the condition. is it malignanant or not?

Thanks for writing in.

A sub centimeter neck lymphnode is most likely non cancerous if you do not have any other problems. However, you need to keep a watch over it and return to your doctor if the lymph nodes are growing in size, new swellings are appearing elsewhere, you are having fever and weight loss or your blood tests are abnormal.
