Hi,
Thanks for writing in.

There is an area of the brain in left temporal parietal and occipital areas which shows brain swelling and little amount of bleeding in the region. This is called as hemorrhagic changes. The brain is increased in volume due to loss of blood supply and is causing pressure effect on surrounding structures. This can be seen as mass effect and midline shift. As a consequence the left lateral ventricle which contains brain fluid is compressed and the one on right side is enlarged. Treatment should be focused on reducing the brain edema or swelling and then giving medications to prevent further clotting of blood in the brain. Rehabilitation has to be done and it can take few weeks or months for recovery to be seen. Total recovery might be difficult but he can do physiotherapy and try to get back as much functions possible.
