What Does String-like Blood Mucous In Stools Of Toddlers Mean?
My 1 year old son had some red (blood), string-like mucus in his stool this morning and I'm very concerned. He had diarrhea for the past 3 days but is slowly diminishing. Could these bloody strings have anything to do with that or what do you suggest?

The possible reason is a residual intestine infection. In our clinic, we recommend dietary measures with zinc suspension, oral rehydration salt and antibiotic as metronidazole to recover faster.
