What Does Sharp Pain On The Left Shoulder Blade Indicate?

Sharp Back pain at left shoulder blade, only laying down. No trama or strain. Right nipple discharge, hot flashes, fluttering heart. Sporadic headaches, lethargic, weak. Using compounded hormone replacement and thyroid medications. Have fibromyalgia (diagnosed by Mayo late 1997-98). Can provide list of all medications.

Dear in your condition possible causes are 1.fibromyalgia :often have pain between the shoulder blades and at the bottom of the neck. Pain may be either a general soreness or a gnawing ache, and stiffness is often worst in the morning.
2.post menopausal syndrome
3.osteo arthritis: of joints around shoulder or cervical spine may cause pain.
4.Stress or anxiety etc


Treated with NSAIDS,anti depressents and anti epileptic (Gabapentine and pregabalin).

Regular exercise with yoga and meditation is helpful.Acupunture behavioral therapy and physical neutritional therapy is useful.

Please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
