General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Muscle tear or rib fracture should be ruled out first here. For rib fracture, the investigation like X-ray and Ibuprofen which is a non-steroid anti-inflammatory drug can be prescribed. If no cause found, then USG (ultrasound) abdomen advisable. As per cause-specific treatment is given. Consult a physician for examination.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Parth Goswami
