What Does Sharp Pain In Ankle That Makes It Difficult To Walk Indicates?

I step on my foot while it had gone to sleep and stood on the side of my right foot and fell, I heard a crack and then clicking sounds and now when I walk or move my ankle I get a serious sharp pain through my ankle, I'm finding it difficult to walk as the pain is a lot.

You need to be clinically examined by a orthopaedician.
One x ray is must to rule out any bony injury.
You most probably had Ankle Sprain.
Treatment consist of :
Rest to part
Local Ice packs
Anti inflammatory and analgesic combination drug for 5 days
keep your foot elevated while in bed
But if X ray shows any bony injury than cast immobilisation is required
