Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As per your it seems like some sprain or contusion. No need to worry. Influenza does not have any direct relation with neck pain. As of now you can take simple analgesics like Diclofenac or Paracetamol. You can also take muscle relaxants like myoril which gives better response in case of sprained neck. Do not use pillows for one night. Apply hot compresses. Of symptoms persist despite all these, consult a doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
