Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
There is a multitude of possible explanations for your symptoms. Heart problems are unlikely if you do not experience breathing difficulty, dizziness or relief when sitting down. Further, being only 31 years old makes heart disease unlikely.Other, more probably causes are gastritis, peptic ulcer, gallstone disease, pancreatitis. Although you are on your period, I find it relevant to check for extra uterine pregnancy. All of the above can be assessed by your general practitioner.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
