What Does Redness On The Right Wrist Indicate?

Had back surgery yesterday. When I got home my right hand abs wrist was red it looked like blood under the skin. Didn t have it anywhere else. Now today it seems to be moving up my arm. This is the arm with the blood pressure cuff on it during surgery. What can be causing this. I had to wash with a special soap but the rest of my body is fine.

Hi,
Thanks for the query.I understand your concern.
The red mark near wrist after surgery seems to be due to IV injection given during surgery.
Please do not massage or foment the part./ Avoid movements of the hand to least possible .. till you see your surgeon./apply ointment thrombophobe to the area ... with out rubbing...see that ointment is not applied to a raw skin.
Thanks.
