What Does Reddish Vaginal Discharge While On Birth Control Pills Indicate?

I just finished my second pack of combination birth control pills. I m currently on my 4th pill free day and still no sign of period. But, today I have thick brown/red discharge. Could this be a light period or is this a cause for pregnancy concern? What should I do?

get checked by gynecologist for examination and opinion about the cause.without local examination or pv examination it is not posible to confirm the cause it can be related to cervix or uterus problem.
