What Does "irregularly Shaped Anechoic Non Vascular Mass.." Indicate?
my wife, 53 years old, 40 years type 1 diabetic with nueropathy was given a dopplar result with "3.2x1.1x1.6 cm irregularly shaped anechoic non vascular mass adjacent to the midial malleotus of the r ankle which may represent synovial cyst. I just read about what would happen if this is cancerous and i'm about to freak.........yet other places on the web indicate this is a common occurance.
Thanks for your question on HCM. No need to worry as synovial cyst are benign in nature. In my opinion you should go for MRI. This will tell you more about the lesion. And still you want to confirm go for biopsy of the lesion. If it is negative for cancer than no need to worry about cancer. So consult your orthopaedic surgeon and discuss these things.
