Adenoid is a small mass of soft tissue (like tonsils in the throat) at the back of our nasal area .Usually the adenoids like tonsils become smaller as the child grows. sometimes adenoids enlarges and become troublesome--repeated ear infections/mouth breething/snoring/breething difficulties. your baby seems to have a breething problem, which has not settled with medication (nasal sprays and oral moteleukast) . In case it is troubling her during sleep (disturbed sleep/loud snoring/apnea-momentarily stoppage of breething), she needs to be evaluated with the help of a tympanogram-a type of ear examination,repeat xrays of adenoids,hearing tests and opinion of an ENT specialist.
