Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Off and on, I will have a feeling of fullness/pressure after eating. This happens more often at night, especially if I eat late and I m not active after eating (I usually work 2cnd ahift and my job involves walking after dinner). It can be particularly bad when I go to bed.
Hi, glad you reached out. Coming to your problem, feeling of abdominal fullness after eating are suggestive of gastritis or acidity. Do you have nausea too? Avoid having dinner too late and avoid eating heavy meals at night. Taking a 5-10 mins walk after dinner is healthy as it helps in digestion. You can take some antacid half an hour before dinner. Abdominal fullness can also be relieved by taking effervescence antacid after food like Histec EVT. Avoid spicy oily food and drink plenty of oral fluids. Get well soon.
