What Does Presence Of RBC In Urine Indicate?

i recently went to minute clinic for strep throat.Also had her check my urine.Was having discomfort&urine was cloudy.With a urgent sense of having to go.She said the test didn t show infection but it had no red blood cells in it.What could that mean?

thank you for your query....
see having no RBCs and WBCs in your urine sample is a normal finding....
whereas RBCs in urine may suggest signs of hematuria or blood in urine, higher levels of WBCs in urine might come up with a diagnosis of urinary infection...
anyways for your urinary discomfort, take excess amounts of water everyday like 4-5lit/day for a few days and it will be solved...alongwith genital cleanliness is suggested...if still it persists, another urine test should be done and the results will decide the next line of treatment...
