What Does Positive Diagnosis In Widal Test Suggestive Of Enteric Fever Mean?

In report widal test is positive Interpretation sera from normal individual may show agglutination in dilution up to 1:40. Agglutination titres of 1:40 or more are significant and rising titres on repetition of test after few days is more suggestive of enteric fever.

Aggultination more than 1:80 and 1:160 in "O" and "H" antigen is more suggestive of enteric fever. Titre less than above value is may be present in normal individuals.
