What Does Positive VDRL And TPHA Test Result Indicate?

Hi Last year month of june o donate blood in blood bank but after few days i receive call from blood bank that my blood is showing vdrl positive and tpha 1.320 refer me skin department doc gave me penculin injection dose 1.2 weekly 3weeks but i hve no syphills Aftr 3month my vdrl positive and tpha is 1.64 After 6 month my vdrl constant postive and tpha is 1.640 but same i have no syphills This time doc recommend me doxycycline medice twice a day for one month after complete of medicene 2 month later i re test But this time my vdrl is negative I again test in many laboratory all shown negative m now confused is it possible vdrl came negative and should i test for tpha now or csf m confused please suggest me My age 24

Tpha is the confirmation test in syphilis. Vdrl can have false positive and negative. You can go in for Tpha to rule out just in case. Syphilis Is a treatable bacterial disease
