What Does Persistent Cough Along With Lower Backache?

Hi. I’m concerned for my husband’s health. He has the following symptoms which have been transpiring over the past few months: Persistent cough, losing weight, bowel movements 4x daily, lower back pain. What could this be. He will be seeing his PCP soon, but I wanted to check on this now.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello, I can understand your problem. Persistent cough and losing weight since few months for that I will suggest you should go for sputum examination and chest X-ray along with that for your low back ache, I will advise X Ray LS spine AP Lat. and SOS MRI . You consult with physician and Orthopedician with the reports. Till now you can take tab. NICIP 100 mg twice a day and start antibiotic after physician consultation. I think this is helpful to you. Review that. thank you.
